Participating local microbreweries include: Barley’s Brewing Company (Ale House No. 1), Barley’s Smokehouse & Brewpub (Ale House No. 2), Columbus Brewing Company, Elevator Brewing Company, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Hoster Brewing Company, Neil House Brewery and Weasel Boy Brewing Company. Representatives from each microbrewery will be on hand to answers questions about their signature drafts.
Beer tasting admission is $20 and includes a commemorative pint glass and twenty tasting tickets.

Wild Goose Creative is the official Columbus presenter for the national event BaconCamp! It is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment about bacon. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event.  It is community driven and everyone is encouraged to participate by presenting (food, art, demo), judging, or volunteering.  

BaconCamp is not a spectator sport.

We will be holding a Bacon Cooking contest and a Bacon Art/Craft contest. We will have prizes available from amazing Columbus vendors and restaurants, and illustrious judges from local businesses. BaconCamp is proud to be held at North Market this year!

Re: CD101’s switch to 102.5FM…

While I was drinking beer at the North Market, CD101’s Lesley James approached my friends and I to take some photos for the station’s website.

So of course we took the opportunity to ask her what the frequency change was all about.

She said that the change was “a really good thing” and that they were going to retain the CD101 name even though they’ll be moving to 102.5.  And she stressed repeatedly that the format was going to stay the same — that the only thing changing would be their location on the dial.

And…that was about it.  She hinted a couple times that she was limited in what she was able to talk about (and that she had almost no warning of the change).  Oh, and that for more info on the switch that we “should listen tomorrow.”
