MTV is reporting that Jay-Z will perform ‘Empire State of Mind’ with Alicia Keys to open the World Series at Yankee Stadium Wednesday. But Jay is scheduled to be in Columbus playing the Schottenstein Center that night.

UPDATE: Turns out Jay is going to hop on a plane after the pregame festivities and show up in Columbus in time to perform, according to Live Nation spokesperson Tracy Hedrick. The show is still on!
